I must say, Hovera in Glenridding proved to be a delightful place to stay for a senior like me. The decoration throughout the hotel was charming and tastefully done. From the cozy furnishings to the lovely artwork, every corner exuded warmth and comfort. As an older guest, I appreciated the accessibility of the hotel. The hallways were wide enough to maneuver easily, and there were handrails in strategic places for added support. It truly made me feel at ease during my entire stay.
If I were to make a small suggestion, I would ask the children working there to pay a bit more attention to the cleanliness of the property. While the overall cleanliness was satisfactory, there were a few areas that could have used some extra care.

Lovely property, great facilities, and hilarious fingerprints and food marks as souvenirs in the kitchen. The bonus? The bin and extractor fan in the bathroom looked like they hadn't been cleaned in months! Hilarious!
Perfection! I couldn't find a single thing to complain about.

The views from our cottage were absolutely stunning from every floor, offering a picturesque backdrop for our stay. The cottage itself was lovely and well-equipped, providing everything we needed for a comfortable stay. One of the best things about the location was that we could easily access the lake and enjoy walks right from our doorstep. It was also conveniently located, making it easy to explore the surrounding area.
There were a few issues with cleanliness that were a bit disappointing. Despite checking in early for extra cleaning, we found food marks in the kitchen and finger prints on the light switches and sockets.

The decoration of the hotel was absolutely delightful. From the moment I stepped into the lobby, I felt surrounded by elegance and charm. The tasteful furnishings and attention to detail created a warm and inviting atmosphere. As a senior woman, I appreciated the accessibility of the hotel. The hallways were wide and well-lit, making it easy to navigate with my mobility scooter. The staff were also very helpful in assisting me with any needs that I had during my stay.
I would have appreciated a more tailored experience for senior guests. While the overall stay was wonderful, I found that there could have been more consideration given to the unique needs of older individuals.
